Sri Satya Sai Vaishnavi Lions Eye Care Centre was established in June 2019 at a dedicated premises provided on a registered lease by Sri Sai Mandiram Trust at Girinagar, Bangalore.

Intially a facility was set up to provide free eye screening and consultation. Later, obtaining the required licenses, the trust successfully raised funds to the tune of Rs.20 Lakhs through big hearted donors and set up an Eye Care Centre with a facility to treat Cataract with IOL surgeries.

Since the commencement of the operations of the centre in December 2019, in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have so far successfully conducted more than 400 Cataract IOL surgeries. We are currently catering to the walk-ins and patients through personal references and other Lions clubs. We have also started supporting rural screening and surgical camps along with other Lions clubs to extend the service to the most needy persons.
